Cascaded Structure of L-Section Composite Right/Left Handed Transmission Line as Matching Networks

in this work, a new iterative method to evaluate the different parameter of composite right left-handed transmission lines (CRLH TL) is applied, in .the aim to define the scattering parameters of a given number N of CRLH TL unit cells mounted in cascade. Starting from the first unit ABCD parameter one can extract the whole cascade ABCD parameters, furthermore the scattering parameter S of the cascade structure are easily extracted. Based on the results of this new method, the cascade structure of CRLH TL is used as broadband matching circuit. The numerical results are given and discussed, then compared to simulation on HFSS.
