Research on TCP and Multipath Transmission Protocol

Firstly, the transmission principle of TCP, as well as many issues and applications was studied. Several typical cases were cited to explain their advantages and limitations. Furthermore, corresponding suggestions and improvement measures were provided. In addition, multipath network transmission is currently a practical, feasible, and efficient way to improve network speed. But the technology is currently not mature enough to be widely available. Considering that most devices are equipped with multiple network interfaces, utilizing a single TCP connection underutilizes this valuable resource. Finally the detailed introduction to the development trends and challenges of MPTCP were provided and the future research directions was pointed out.
