Improved Particle Swarm Algorithm on Dynamic Segment of FlexRay Networks

FlexRay is a critical communication protocol in automotive electronic systems to achieve high reliability and realtime data transmission. This paper introduces an improved particle swarm algorithm for the FlexRay dynamic segment, which can provide a suitable message scheduling table for given FlexRay networks to meet the increasingly complex scenarios of practical applications and improve network performance overall. Bus utilization and worst-case response time are the key roles in the dynamic segment scheduling of FlexRay. By conducting experiments based on MATLAB, the network performance, which includes the bus utilization and the worst-case response time, has effectively improved according to experimental results.
