PID controller using new GWO strategy to drive dual star induction motor

This work deals with optimizing the parameters of the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller to improve the speed control performance of (DSIM) driven by field-oriented indirect control IFOC. The strategy used is a promising gray wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm based on artificial intelligence techniques. Compared to using the PID controller alone, the technique provided is more effective in improving the stability of the speed loop response. The simulation results under Matlab environment demonstrate that the designed PID-GWO speed controller achieves good dynamic behavior of DSIM, perfect speed tracking without overshoot, better performance and high robustness.
