Prefabricated Construction Supply Chain Management Based on Improved Hierarchical Finite State Machine

Prefabricated constructions have gained global popularity due to their inherent advantages. To enhance the efficiency and coordination of the supply chain process, this study introduces the concept of hierarchy and proposes an event-driven Hierarchical Finite State Machine (HFSM) model. By establishing a mapping relationship between material state and FSM, the model enables scientific hierarchical management of the prefabricated construction supply chain. This is achieved through the implementation of a connection function (state filter function) that links different levels of state machines. The practical application of the HFSM model is demonstrated using three sequential stages: Procurement, Delivery, and On-site Installation. Through the customization of vector T and function g, the HFSM can be flexibly expanded and modified to adapt to different project management modes. The proposed model enhances information coordination among all stakeholders in the prefabricated supply chain, enabling hierarchical management at strategic, tactical, and operational levels. Furthermore, future research can leverage large-scale labeled data and belief networks to improve the model’s performance and achieve even more promising outcomes.
