Impact of Exoskeleton Assistive Device for Physically Challenged and Elderly Patient for Rehabilitation Process

Recently, Exoskeleton assistive device, which is a type of wearable robot that is widely used to help the human in rehabilitation for elderly and paralyzed patients by reducing the workload of the individual which gives balance, strength and movement to the person. Exoskeleton used for rehabilitation process are only be controlled manually by the individuals itself. In this research study, a unique technology called HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) is proposed to read the EMG (Electromyography) signals form the patient are controlled automatically. The EMG signals obtained by the patient are processed and the motors are controlled automatically based on the signals.
