Implementation of Digital Transformation in Design Education Learning To Support The Sustainability of Tourism Area

During the pandemic era, there has been a sharp increase in online activity in the world of education as well as changes in the teaching system which tend to be hybrid, which also has an impact on learning strategies in the interior design study program. Before the pandemic, the teaching system and materials in the Interior Design study program relied heavily on physical and visual interactions that required sensory experiences to feel various atmospheres in a room. However, during the pandemic, the experience was not conduct optimally, so it required technological support to accelerate the learning process to become more effective and interactive. To explore more information, this study conducts literature review and field research in the tourism area as a project case study. This study also applies interactive technology approach to implement the integration of various technologies to gain insights from direct experience and to contribute to both theoretical understanding and practical improvements within the field. This study focuses on the implementation of digital learning packed with features to conduct distance learning and training in a live and immersive environment. With the implementation of digital transformation through technology support and user-friendly platform applications in design learning systems, it is expected that it can accelerate the process of technological literacy and the delivery of teaching materials that are more interactive and can be accessed more flexible from many locations.
