IoT Based Smart Charger Dock for Electric Scooters Using Solar Panel

The increasing demand of power and energy, energy conservation and use of renewable resources have become a crucial necessity. Solar energy will become the ultimate and prime source of energy in near future. Therefore, highly efficient and low energy consuming solar-powered equipment and applications will soon be a major requirement. In this paper, solar charge controller using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) have been analyzed and compared, which is needed in all solar powered systems that utilize batteries. A major challenge in photovoltaic (PV) systems is Partial Shading which affects the quality and quantity of the Output Power. The natural variability of environment and the reduced efficiency of PV arrays is a significant obstacle in the rapid growth of the solar power systems. This system constantly monitors the solar panel and transmits the Output of PV, Battery, and Charging Scooter to IoT system over the internet with ESP8266. The Data Transmission using TX RX Protocol between Arduino Nano and ESP8266 for sending to web. The monitoring system implemented by MPPT for PV can operate and can be accessed via the website with a monitoring system accuracy of 99% with data collection in real time.
