Cuckoo-LS Algorithm: A Promising Solution for Real-World Economic Load Dispatch Challenges

This paper, introduce a novel hybrid optimization algorithm, Local Search Integrated Cuckoo Search, to address the challenge of achieving optimal power generation costs while adhering to both equality and inequality constraints. This study involves a comparative analysis with the Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA), revealing that CuckooLS outperforms CSA in terms of efficiency and effectiveness by balancing the exploration and exploitation. To validate the performance of our proposed algorithm, conducted extensive testing on the IEEE 30-bus system. The results obtained demonstrate the superior capabilities of Cuckoo-LS in optimizing power generation costs while ensuring compliance with critical constraints. This research contributes to the advancement of optimization techniques in the field of power systems and offers a promising solution for addressing realworld power generation challenges.
