LoRaWAN Performance Analysis with Data Rate

Due to its versatile and reliable technical attributes, ability to achieve long communication range combined with low energy consumption and reduced cost, LoRa radio technology is one of the most popular choices in the IoT based Low-Power Networks (LPNs) industry. Although LoRaWAN technologies are expanding, LoRa has garnered a lot of interest. In contrast to LPWAN solutions available, LoRaWAN does allow for the changes in configuration of a number of network related parameters of data rate, theoretically it makes possible to tailor behavior of the network particularly as per scenario. LoRaWAN technologies enable wireless nodes to easily interact over vast networks and a great deal of distance. Here it is examined promising LoRa performances that impact data rate, among which are (BW) Bandwidth, (CR) Coding Rate and (SF) Spreading Factors. The data rate is a crucial component in LoRa, in particular the number of nodes and data rate of each SF in a single-hop network where SF is the factor that determine its capacity. This means that the coverage was reduced by utilizing a smaller SF with a greater data rate and vice a versa.
