Medical Image Fusion: An insight into Deep Learning Approach

There is rapid improvement in the medical field regarding capturing different images of patients using diversified equipment. But all this equipment works on different principles and hence has different characteristics. Due to this, each modality has its own significance. And hence for diagnostic as well as treatment purposes these different images require at the same time, so image fusion demands more nowadays. Due to advancements in technology, deep learning approaches have become popular amongst all others. This paper focuses on insights into the Deep Learning approach as well as application areas of Medical Image Fusion.
