An IoT based Smart Vertical Hydroponics System: Power of Computer in Farming

With the rise in global population, also the food requirement gets increases. Ultimately needs an alternative solution to the tradition farming. Here a solution is presented in the form of smart vertical hydroponics system with the integrated solution of artificial photosynthesis, grow light, sensors and IoT technology. Initially an extensive review has been done on various modern alternative farming technology like, horizontal hydroponics, aeroponics, Grow Tube technology, aquaponics & Solar aqua culture. Here a smart solution and framework is given by integrating the IoT technology with vertical hydroponics. Nutrients analyzer is integrated with pH sensor, electrical conductivity (EC) sensor, grow tube, artificial lights, and GSM technology. The basic objective is to provide a sustainable solution in vertical hydroponics with IoT technology and aiming to provide a fully automatic controlled solution to obtain the high yield.
