Fairness for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access Based-Superposition Coding

The aim of this paper is to explore the advange of the NOMA (Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access) technology, which is a promising technology for future radio access where multiple users share the same sub-carrier or frequency sub-band. In addition to covering the fundamental concepts, advantages, and disadvantages of NOMA, this paper compares it with OMA in different conditions and assesses the impact of imperfections in the SIC receiver on overall capacity. Furthermore, the fairness factor of NOMA and OMA among users is also compared in this paper, based on the superposition coding technique.
