Web-Based System for Asia Pacific University (APU) Library Discussion Room Booking System

In today’s era, Information Technology (IT) plays a very important role in human’s daily life. This is because technology makes day-to-day tasks much easier and less time consuming. The impact of technology can be felt in every possible field especially in the field of education. According to the latest insights, university students of today prefer to use technology as the transfer of knowledge through technology is more convenient. Hence, Asia Pacific University (APU) have been constantly improving their Information Systems throughout their campus especially for the university’s library. APU Library plays a great role in providing students and lecturers of the university with abundant of reading materials and information. Besides that, APU Library also offers facilities such as discussion rooms for students and lecturers to use. In order to use the library discussion room, one must book the room in advance. However, the current library discussion room booking system is manually operated by APU librarians, many problems arises due to factors such as miscommunication and human errors.
