Energy Reinforcement Model to Detect Selfish Node and Cluster Management in MANETs

The Cluster Nodes Reinforcement Scheme is proposed to enhance the routing efficacy and to increase the network lifetime. In this scheme, the base station transmits the pilot message to each node and normal nodes reply to the pilot message but the selfish nodes do not respond. In resultant, the normal nodes are combined to form a cluster. The cluster head (CH) is selected by analyzing the node energy level and response time. The cluster head node processes each set of transmission and the normal nodes information are aggregated by the cluster head. The cluster head cooperates with all other nodes in the cluster and hence the energy gets reduced automatically. If the cluster head nodes energy gets reduced than its threshold; the reinforcement process is carried out and the base station provides enough energy to the cluster head node for processing. The selfish node can also request for the reinforcement process if it is lack in energy. Then energy reconfiguration is initiated for the selfish node then it became normal node and able to join in the cluster. Therefore, the reinforcement processes help in node maintenance and keep the cluster heads and cluster nodes as proper behaving nodes.
