Overview of Key Node Evaluation in Complex Networks

Complex network is a network obtained through highly abstracting real-world complex systems, which can be used to assist in solving complex problems in complex systems. Homogeneous network is a complex network that only has one type of node and one type of edge. Key nodes are nodes that can impact the overall stability and functionality of a network, and they help us better comprehend and manipulate complex networks. This paper focuses on the study of key nodes in homogeneous networks and provides a comprehensive review of existing methods for evaluating key nodes in such networks. In this paper, we provide a description of homogeneous networks and key nodes; We summarize the existing evaluation methods for key nodes in homogeneous networks and categorize them into five major classes for discussion; We emphasize some of the challenges faced in this field and outline potential directions for future research to further explore.
