Design of a Tri-Band Patch Antenna with Metamaterial Aperture Ground

This article reports on a unique four-arm metamaterial-loaded antenna with a metamaterial aperture ground at sub-7 GHz for 5G applications. The radiator is etched on Rogers-3003, a flexible substrate with a height of 1.52 mm and a r value of 3. To increase the gain of the suggested antenna, a metamaterial aperture is created on the opposite side of the substrate using a stripline structure. CST Microwave Studio 2019 simulates the suggested design. At 5.896 GHz, 7.5703 GHz, and 8.641 GHz, respectively, the findings are multiband.
