Research on Heating Simulation Model of GIS Internal Joint

The increase of GIS equipment input and use time will lead to more and more prominent heating failures. In order to avoid overheating failures and ensure the safe operation of equipment and power grid, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the loss and heating problems. This paper mainly studies the heating characteristics and severity evaluation methods of GIS equipment internal joints. Firstly, the basic structure of GIS equipment and the types of internal connectors are introduced. Then, the types, causes and mechanisms of internal joint heating are described in detail. Then, COMSOL is selected as the simulation software, and the reasons for its selection, model building method and parameter setting are introduced. Finally, through simulation, the temperature distribution and hot spots of different types of internal joints were obtained, and their severity was evaluated, which is of great significance to strengthen the detection and analysis of GIS equipment heating faults.
