Study on Temperature Rise of Hot Spot of Oil-immersed Power Transformer Winding

In view of the persistent high temperature weather in summer in Chongqing, the transformer operation load is serious, especially the temperature rise of the transformer has a serious impact on the safe operation of the transformer. This paper puts forward a model based on the coupling of transformer oil temperature and transformer temperature rise. By analyzing the thermal conversion and thermoelectric coupling of this model, the equations of transformer oil temperature change and transformer load loss change with oil temperature are established, and the oil temperature and winding temperature are solved by Runge-Kutta method. The temperature and oil temperature of transformer winding are simulated by FLUENT. The simulation results show that the error of IEEE guideline method is 3.9%, and the error of the calculation model proposed in this paper is 2.4%. This study provides a certain reference value for the prediction of winding hot spot temperature rise.
