An Image-based Method for Tyre Conformity Detection

This paper proposes an image-based tyre conformity inspection method for the traditional tyre conformity inspection relying on manual inspection, which is subjectively influenced by human and has low working efficiency. The method uses a parabolic point calculation method to accurately measure the arc length of the tyre and uses an elliptical LBP algorithm combined with a hash algorithm to effectively compare the tyre surface tread pattern with the template. Experiments on real-life scenarios prove that the method meets the requirements of tyre conformity inspection accuracy and is highly accurate, so as to achieve more efficient and stable quality control in the production process, providing a useful reference for intelligent tyre conformity inspection.
