Analysis on the Influence of Grounding Trench on the Slope Stability of Transmission Line

Shallow landslide on the slope of transmission line tower is a common geological disaster, which even makes the tower tilt or collapse in serious cases, seriously threatening the transportation of electric energy and the normal use of electricity by the broad masses of people. It is of great significance to study the influence factors of the stability of transmission tower slope for the safe operation and normal power supply of transmission line. In this paper, the landslide of the tower slope where the #1296 tower of 500kV Gaozhao DC line locate is taken as a case study, and the related inducing factors of the shallow instability of the tower slope are summarized and analyzed according to the topographic and geological conditions of the slope, the engineering hydrogeological conditions and the surrounding engineering influencing factors, and the influence of rainfall and grounding trench excavation of the transmission tower on the shallow instability of the slope is verified and analyzed by using Geo-studio software. Research shows that rain and grounding grid excavation of transmission tower have a great influence on the stability of the slope of the foundation slope. After 72 hours of uniform rainfall, the safety factor of the slope of the tower foundation decreases by 16%. Under the influence of the grounding trench and even rainfall for three consecutive days, the safety factor of the slope of the foundation of the tower decreased by 26%. Through the analysis of this paper, it can accurately provide ideas for the landslide control work of the existing transmission lines, and summarize the experience for the subsequent transmission lines design, and enhance the stability.
