PCS Grid Connection Control Algorithm for Energy Storage System Considering Stability

The scale of energy storage plants is on the rise, thanking to supportive policies and cost reductions. Consequently, the number of power converter systems (PCS) connected to the grid is also increasing. To address the issue of low-frequency resonance spikes caused by multiple PCS on the grid, this paper introduces a novel approach. It proposes a DQ decoupling grid control strategy employing quasi-proportional resonance control, coupled with an inductive current feedback active damping control strategy. Through simulations using Matlab/Simulink, the study confirms that quasi-proportional resonance control exhibits superior power response speed. Additionally, the grid-connected control strategy successfully suppresses grid-connected current harmonics to below 5%, mitigates low-frequency resonance spikes, and enhances overall grid stability.
