Off-Grid Solar PV System with Web-Based Data Management and Sun Tracking Capability for Brgy. 649, Baseco Compound, Manila

The accessibility of electricity drives the primal consideration for the habitability of residential homes. Upon assessment of researchers in Barangay 649, Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila, several home residents have nonelectric supply from the utility AC distributor. This paper presents the design of a non-grid-tied solar PV to the target residents in the said barangay. The project highlights sun-tracking mechanical capability with the aid of data managementvia the web cloud, which powers up the electrical LED lights, ventilations, and charging of mobile gadgets. During testing, it was found that the designed system has increased average yield efficiency up to 50%, resulting in a 3.7KW-hr higher energy yield throughout testing, the project delivered relied electric power supply with no observed power outage.
