Game Technology Approach for Biology Education (Immune System) Delivery at Elementary Level

In recent years there have been many attempts to gamify our education system. Especially regarding the complexity and the unknown aspects of the human body. The study of the immune system is one of the most difficult and advanced lessons for an elementary to high school student. This is why we want to create a way to gamify the process of learning with this paper. This paper presents an approach in game technology to deliver biology education to the immune system. The paper focuses on a literature and theoretical review of game technologies and their approach to education. The proposed approach includes the design and development of an interactive platforming game with a game-based learning environment that allows students to interact and participate in their learning. The findings and insights from this research contribute to the field of biology education by demonstrating the effectiveness and viability of game technology approaches for teaching complex scientific concepts, such as the immune system, to elementary and junior high school students. Lastly, this paper contributes to improving a learner's education and ability in biology through unique interactive, and interesting games.
