Communication Between Control Modules on the Mouse for the Disabled

Disabled people have difficulty operating a standard mouse on a table. Therefore, in previous studies, mouse for people with disabilities began to be developed. A disabled mouse consists of a hardware part and a software part. The software part is in charge of converting arm movements into mouse cursor movements on the monitor screen. While the hardware section discussed in this article includes control hardware in the arms and control hardware in the legs. The discussion in this article covers communication between the two control modules that use Wifi. The data sent to the computer from both modules include inertial sensor data and data from all five footswitches. The test results show that the inertial sensor and footswitch data can be sent correctly to the computer, with a 100% success rate in data transmission from the module Arm and module Foot to the PC application.
