MPPT based FPA Control for PV Pumping System

Shading of a photovoltaic module has dramatic consequences on its power-voltage curve and even if a part of a module or cell is shaded, a significant decrease in the power produced is then the consequence. This partial shading may be due to chimneys, trees or other building parts. This work proposes a metaheuristic algorithm to find the maximum power point of photovoltaic systems under partial shading. This work discusses and presents, in first section, a Flower pollination algorithm applied to control MPPT of PV connected to DC load, to show the feasibility of the proposed technique, we will compare it with Whale Optimization algorithm. In the second section, the proposed technique will be used in pumping system as AC Load (induction motor as load controlled by direct torque control via inverter and connected to a centrifugal pump), to control MPPT of PV panels and also to control the DC link voltage.
