Sizing and Techno-Economic analysis of a Photovoltaic Solar System for a Primary School using PVSYST

The investigating of the potential positive effects of incorporating renewable energy investments into the national grid involves providing schools with sustainable energy, seen as a valuable chance for investment. The paper aims to introduce a technical and economic feasibility study of implementing a dependable and cost-effective solar-powered generator in the northern Sahara region of Algeria at MEBAREK EL MILI school Laghouat. This system fulfills the school's energy requirements and sends excess energy to the grid using a smart meter, providing an alternative energy source while remaining connected to the main grid. The study employs PVSYST 7.3 to design and simulate the system using one year of electricity bill data at a 6 kW flow rate. Based on the system results and installation cost estimation, the repayment time can be projected.
