Energy and Exergy Analysis of Combined Cooling, Heating and Power System using ORC and Ejector Refrigeration Cycle

This study focuses on developing an efficient solar-geothermal hybrid system that can simultaneously provide cooling and power Utilizing organic Rankine cycle (ORC) in conjunction with the ejector refrigeration cycle (ERC). To ensure reliability, extensive evaluations of energy and exergy are conducted using R423A as the working fluid. The temperature range of the vapor generator is set from 180°C to 240°C to effectively utilize solar radiation as a heat source, while geothermal energy is harnessed at a temperature of 90°C. The analysis results demonstrate that the system, with R423A as the working fluid, achieves the lowest overall energy destruction and the highest energy efficiency, as well as notable exergy efficiency. Furthermore, a parametric analysis of the results highlights the significant impact of turbine inlet pressure and temperature of evaporator on key performance indicators such as power output, refrigeration capacity, energy efficiency and exergy efficiency of the proposed system.
