Play Bricks IV: Desktop and Web-Based Play Bricks App for Architectural Styles

LEGOs have been a popular game for individuals of all ages, offering a means for creative expression and skill demonstration. However, the traditional design process for new LEGO-like models can be costly and time-consuming, leading to potential resource waste. To address these challenges, we propose the development of a virtual design application that leverages LEGO-like bricks to create 3D models inspired by Islamic art. Our application aims to enable users to easily design and modify virtual prototypes, reducing the risk and expenses associated with physical prototyping. Furthermore, the application facilitates the conversion of these designs into 3D mesh models suitable for 3D printing. A video play-back feature allows users to record and revisit their creative process, fostering sharing and reflection. By combining the timeless appeal of LEGO-like bricks with digital technology, our project aims to provide individuals with a platform to explore the world of Islamic art, express their creativity, and showcase their skills through 3D printing. This work not only offers a novel approach to LEGO-like designs but also nurtures a vibrant and interconnected community of LEGO enthusiasts and architectural enthusiasts alike.
