The Impact of the Pandemic Period on Digital Educational Innovations

The pandemic period brought about a natural transition to online education, but it also created numerous difficulties for all of its participants (institutions, teachers, students and parents). Overcoming technical obstacles and renewing educational methodologies were necessary under the circumstances to provide optimal education for students. Many new and innovative digital educational methods were developed and used by teachers during this period. However, these new methods did not solve the problem of personal relationships, which was often lacking in online education and could lead to isolation. Online education has had a significant impact on the methodological aspect of education in the following period as well. The innovations and methodological developments employed during online teaching have not disappeared from teachers' repertory but are being used to this day. Our paper aims to present the findings of an international questionnaire survey on the effects and methodological innovations of online education, on the innovations still employed in face-to-face education and the characteristics of innovative schools.
