Tracking Consumer Habits and Orders Using Blockchain Technology

Maintaining consumer confidence in our fast-paced society is critical. Unfortunately, however, data breaches are becoming more and more frequent, when users' data are misused by unauthorized persons. Crises of trust are created, which have a negative impact on consumer habits and hatred, discrediting campaigns and extreme reactions appear. To avoid these, it is advisable to examine the available decentralized data storage solutions that work on a mathematical basis. Blockchain technology can increase consumer trust since the data is saved in blocks, which cannot be modified afterwards. Each block contains the hash value of the previous block, which means that strangers cannot modify these blocks. The goal of my research is to create a unique blockchain where consumer data and orders can be securely stored and tracked. By applying this method, all unnecessary actors can be excluded from the process. Transparent traceability is critical in this case, and it is necessary that the customers' needs in our digitized world are met in an automated way during their orders, so I will also create a smart contract that I will connect to the blockchain. In the created blockchain, consumer data can be stored securely, unauthorized persons cannot modify them. Under the name of Consumer Blockchain, I will create such a type of blockchain as part of the practical implementation of the research, and I will present the steps of its more important creation and its operation.
