Energy Prescription For The Petrochemical Industry

The Petro-Chemical Industry is under attack for its production of fossil fuels and the concerns over CO
2
(CO2) emissions. While there is no debate concerning the increase of CO2 levels into the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuels, there is an issue about the impact of increased CO. This paper shows the need for fossil fuels into the foreseeable future to not only supply existing needs but increased loads that are going to be driven by industry. The use of fossil fuels will be compared to that of modern-day medicines with similar logic on the needs, uses and side effects. A solution to the energy and emissions concerns of hydrocarbons will be shown to not only exist, but the solution is basic and economical in nature.
