A New technique of High-Voltage Power Supply for Electrostatic Precipitator

This paper explores and comprehends various power supplies developed for Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP). ESPs have been used to be a very active industrial device. The most valued part of their operation is the Power supplies. Thus, this review considers High-Voltage Power supplies' topologies and some of their features. Furthermore, it regards the qualities of High-Voltage (HV) sources. This work gives a study of several aspects of power supply characteristics. Thus, it is doable to mark the main issues in the ESP power supplies and the solutions to resolve them. Besides, it will identify the persistent problems. With all that, the work offers a possible solution without using the step-up Transformer in the converter as a New Technique to generate HV for ESP supplying purposes with lower THD at 44.53%.
