Development of a Community Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System Using a Wireless Sensor Network on IoT-Platform

This article describes a system that can detect and display various air pollution values that occur within a community in order to monitor and warn of air quality to the people in the community to effectively protect their health. The results are displayed on the website and notifications are displayed on the device. It is the design and construction of wireless sensor circuits in IoT systems that allow us to monitor air quality quickly and accurately at the community level. which can be used to measure important indicators such as PM2.5, PM10, CO and CO2 to assess the health of the population and the risk to the environment. There are the Base Station (BS) for connected to internet via 4G and the Node Station (NS) are strategically installed in various locations. The NS can transmit data form sensors via radio waves to the main Base Station (BS) every 5 minutes. This system uses electricity from solar power and batteries. The BS receives, analyzes, and transmits the data to cloud server. Additionally, results are displayed on an HTML-based website. This system measure covering PM2.5, PM10, CO, CO2, temperature, humidity, and battery capacity. this system provides citizens with access to information about air quality in their area and plays an important role in building knowledge and understanding of the environment and its problems. When the detected sensor values exceed the standard values with the Light alarm warning system installed on the BS. The addition of preventative measures will improve the community’s overall health.
