Some technical considerations on next ERP system in Singapore

Some technical considerations on the next electronic road pricing (ERP) system in Singapore are proposed. In this paper it includes positioning, digital map database, wireless communications to guide the driver to choose the optimal route with shortest distance or cost. The traffic flow will be balanced in the whole road network with high efficiency and high quality services. The architecture of management center and in-vehicle unit are also elaborated.
