A Low-Frequency Multi-Resonant Wideband Acoustic Tube Transducer

The longitudinal vibration broadband transducer is often used in acoustic tube transducer because of its high hydrostatic pressure resistance and its special installation mode. In this paper, a low-frequency multi-resonant wideband acoustic tube transducer is designed and fabricated by the combination of an active piezoelectric ceramic stack and two passive compliant materials. The transducer operates in a frequency band of 3kHz-5kHz, with a height of about 262mm and a maximum diameter of about 57mm. The experimental results show that the low frequency acoustic performance of the transducer is good and the bandwidth of the low frequency multi-resonance transducer can be broadened.
