Guided Waves in One-Dimensional Hexagonal Quasicrystal Cylindrical Structures With Sectorial Cross-Sections

The double Legendre polynomial method is employed to investigate the guided wave propagation in one-dimensional hexagonal quasi-crystal cylindrical structures with sectorial sections. The influence of the phonon-phason coupling effect, variations in structural parameters (radius-thickness ratio and central angle) and quasi-periodic direction on the wave characteristics are studied. The cut-off frequencies of phonon and phason modes are inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area.
