Dynamic Stress Analysis of A Non-Circular Cavity in 2D-Inhomogeneous Medium Under SH-Wave Incidence

Scattering of SH wave by a non-circular cavity in two-dimensionally inhomogeneous medium is investigated in this work. The non-circular cavity is supposed as a square cavity. Applying complex function method, governing equation of SH wave propagation is solved analytically. Displacements and stresses in the inhomogeneous medium are deduced subsequently. Utilizing conformal mapping method, the interface of the square cavity is mapped to be a unit circle. Dynamic stress concentration factors (DSCF) at the cavity with different inhomogeneous parameters are calculated and analyzed. Numerical results illustrated the DSCF at the cavity is affected by the inhomogeneous parameters evidently.
