Improved relationship between determination the thermal conductivity of concrete and improve the thermal isolation of the building

The world recently turned to architectural thought which is concerned with the relationship between buildings and the environment as part of what is known as green architecture or eco-friendly cities, which are cities free of 'polluting elements, so this appears in the reduction of the negative impact of buildings on the environment as well as the reduction of construction and operating costs. Global interest in preserving the environment and decreasing energy use in all areas is expanding, and green building initiatives that harness clean energy sources and recycle trash in novel ways are emerging. Concrete is one of the most extensively used materials in the building industry, which stands out for its mechanical features that ensure high stability and durability of the building. As for the thermal properties, they are not sufficiently known, in particular the thermal conductivity and the thermal insulation, which have become necessary for the buildings in order to reduce the energy necessary for cooling in summer and heating in winter, taking into account the climatic changes. Our work concentrated on the determination of the mechanical and thermal characteristics of concrete as a first step to understand the influencing elements, and then to research the thermal isolation to obtain good thermal isolation of buildings and thermal comfort at within the building.
