An Improved PSO to Extract Unknown Parameters From a PV Panel

This paper introduces a particle swarm optimization approach for determining the equivalent electrical model of a photovoltaic cell. Employing the particle swarm optimization algorithm as a tool, we efficiently extract model parameters by rapidly achieving a highly accurate global minimum solution. This is achieved through minimizing the Root-Mean-Square Error (RMSE) between experimental and theoretical characteristics. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and speed of the proposed particle swarm optimization strategy in addressing these challenges.
