STATCOM contribution to improving the stability of power grids -Application Adrar Algeria_network-

This paper deals with the problem of compensation of reactive power into the grid as well as the contribution of STATCOM to network stability. The simulation model of STATCOM with its control laws was made in the universe MATLAB .The first network simulation was made in the healthy state, then a three-phase fault is applied and the model developed STATCOM is inserted in a real network in southern Algeria (Adrar Area) and the results are exposed. The model developed takes into account the dynamic behavior of the structure of the STATCOM, and brings supplemental wealth for the dynamic study of the network and its stability.
