Realization and implementation of an experimental anaerobic digestion device of agricultural waste of animal origin

The methane biogas extracted from the fermentation of agricultural waste constitutes an immense source of renewable cogeneration energy which can be very well valued in Algeria. In this work, we present an experimental study on the anaerobic digestion of agricultural waste of animal origin. The waste targeted consists mainly of cow dung 90%, straw and residues of animal feed 10%. The practical task of our work represents the realization of the experimental device intended for the fermentation of the selected agricultural waste, and then its implementation in the digestion phase. As results, we concluded that animal waste is highly recoverable by anaerobic digestion, which offers better waste management on site and at lower cost. The increase in temperature accelerates the fermentation process and ultimately produces, in addition to methane, a fertilizing waste, inert and energetically stable.
