In 2003, I joined Prof. Deog-Kyoon Jeong’s research group at Seoul National University, Korea as a postdoctoral researcher. I received my Ph.D. degree from Stanford University and conducting research at a qualified university lab was one way to fulfill Korea’s strict military obligation.
