Design of Simulation Experimental Platform for Airport Bird Control Linkage System Based on Improved YOLOv5

Faced with the severe risk of bird strike in airports, a large number of bird repelling equipment has been used to prevent it. Traditional bird repellent devices typically lose their original effectiveness after use for a period of time, mainly due to the issue of inertial indications in birds. In order to provide students with an intuitive and in-depth understanding of the current problems with airport bird strike prevention equipment, and to explore new ideas for airport bird strike prevention in the context of artificial intelligence, a simulation experimental platform for airport bird strike linkage system based on Internet of Things and artificial intelligence technology was designed. This platform simulates airport bird strike events by placing a modified bird repelling device model on the airport sandbox, randomly playing pictures or videos of aircraft takeoff, landing, and bird invasion on the simulation client. It also utilizes a self-developed human-machine interaction recognition system based on improved Y olov5 to achieve intelligent linkage control of bird repelling devices.
