Analysis and Judgment Method for Metering Faults under Capacitive Load Conditions

Three-phase three-wire smart meters are usually used in internal assessment gateway metering points, trade settlement metering points of electricity users, etc. In the operation of three-phase three-wire smart meter, faults can cause measurement errors, and there are power loss, user complaints, measurement disputes and other risks. This paper combines an example of measuring data abnormality caused by the reversal of c-phase current polarity of a customer's smart energy meter operating under the state of over-compensation of reactive power compensation device, analyses the change rule of the collection system curve data before and after the reversal of c-phase current polarity of the smart energy meter, calculates the amount of backfill power during the period of c-phase current polarity reversal, and puts forward detailed precautionary measures.
