Experimental Verification of the Impact of High Proportion Distributed Photovoltaic Access on Distribution Network Protection

In response to the national “dual carbon” development strategy, the current power grid has formed a new energy system architecture with green energy as the main body, and a large number of fans and photovoltaics have been connected to the grid, bringing unprecedented challenges to the traditional power grid relay protection. Especially, the impact of distributed photovoltaic access on the protection of the traditional distribution network is mostly stuck in the theoretical analysis stage. No relevant experimental evidence has been found. In this paper, the project team selected two typical 10kV distribution network scenarios of distributed PV connected to the grid to carry out artificial short circuit test. Through the analysis of test wave recording data, the analysis of low penetration current characteristics in the distributed PV transient process was completed, and the impact of distributed PV access on distribution network protection was quantitatively demonstrated. It is of theoretical significance to explore the adaptive boundary of protection for distributed PV grid connection.
