A Comparative Study Regarding Different Coil Structures for Low Power Device WPT Systems

Many studies have shown the use of inductive coils in high power Inductive Power Transfer systems, regarding the difference between geometry and size. Although, none of these studies focus on low power transmitting energy (<30 W). The literature is mainly concerned about charging Electric vehicles (EVs), but few works present focus on small power devices, such as cellphones. The main contribution of this paper is to give a brief study of different coil structures, geometries and sizes applied to low power transfer considering planar coils.
