Interleaved Bidirectional DC-DC Converter with Single-Phase High-Frequency Isolation

This paper presents the operational characteristics of a new single-phase isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter associated with two different pulse width modulations (PWM), one for each power flow direction. The converter stages analysis is described. The dc voltage gain expressions in CCM, DCM and CrCM are determined. The proposed converter advantages are: new modulation, the voltage and current ripple frequency of the passive filters are four times higher than the switching frequency, which reduces the size and weight of the converter, in addition to balanced current distribution between the legs. To validate the mathematical and theoretical analysis, experimental results are obtained from a laboratory prototype from
