Interval Power Flow for Islanded DC Microgrids Considering Load Uncertainties

Load Flow (LF) studies are necessary for planning and expansion studies of DC Microgrids (MGs). Further, adopting intermittent renewable generation and power electronic based loads increases the load uncertainty in DC MGs. An Interval Power Flow problem that considers the load uncertainty of DC MGs is modeled and solved using an optimization based method. A performance comparison between probabilistic, Interval, and optimization methods that perform power flow under load uncertainty is studied. Two DC MGs of 6-bus and 33-bus are used to validate the effectiveness and superiority of the optimization method.
