Statistical Analysis of Current Mismatch in Light Emitting Diode Strings

This paper presents a statistical analysis of the current mismatch in LED strings connected in parallel, with the aim of providing information on the subject from a statistical point of view. The paper addresses the main theories and methodologies related to current mismatch in LED strings, as well as alternative solutions such as adding a resistance in series with the LED string, changing the number of strings and using current mirror circuits, with the aim of minimizing the problem of current mismatch. The strengths and weaknesses of the approaches used for the solution are also discussed, as well as possible limitations in their development.
